Meet Our Team | Alpha Court Reporting & Video
Ginger heard about court reporting while in college, when a professor told her she would be “stupid” to get a marketing degree, that she should try court reporting instead. She checked it out and realized it was the perfect career for her.
She started reporting in 1979, and in 1981, along with her partner at the time, founded Alpha Reporting Service.
Originally from Houston, Missouri, a very small town, one of the things she enjoyed most about reporting was the opportunity to travel all over the United States while taking depositions, even to St. Thomas on a very interesting case.
In the past few years, she has concentrated on administrative tasks and given up reporting. She misses the constant interaction with attorneys, but enjoys the challenges of developing Alpha into a full-service agency.
She and her husband, Bruce, live on a farm/ranch north of Joplin and raise purebred Angus cattle and, in their spare time, like to travel, watch St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and spend time with their children and grandchildren.
What I love most about my job is hearing people say they dread going to work, when I LOVE and look forward to every day of work, whether it’s dressing up for a depo or drinking coffee in my pjs working on a transcript for 8 hours of the day… I enjoy the attorneys I work with, being depended on for the most accurate record possible, and that I face a new and different challenge every day. It’s such a rewarding career that I know just anybody couldn’t do, and I know my success strictly is a result of how hard I choose to work.Debbi

It’s hard to adequately describe Sharon’s job. She has been with Alpha since 1987 and has done everything there is to do except for actually reporting. Even though she is trying to retire, she still comes in weekly to help out with whatever Ginger needs her to do.
